9:130 Physical Security
The Superintendent or designee shall see that information assets are physically and reasonably protected against malicious or accidental damage or loss, overheating, and loss of power.
Secure Areas
Critical or sensitive information processing facilities will be housed in secure areas, physically protected from unauthorized access, damage, and interference. The secure areas will be protected by defined security perimeters with appropriate security barriers and entry controls.
Equipment Protection
Critical information equipment, cabling, etc., shall be protected against physical damage, fire, flood, and theft, both on- and off-site. Power supplies and cabling should be secured. All equipment should be maintained properly and disposed of securely.
