BHS Seniors Shine Bright at VALEES Competition
BHS Seniors Eric Perkins and Lucas Rohan won the VALEES Graphics Students of the Year Design regional competition today at Waubonsee Community College. Students were given a client brief to design a branding campaign to present today. Eric & Lucas, advanced graphics students, were able to work with industry mentors who visited the classroom to offer guidance and feedback on the work. Their mentors were Gail Gaboda, Batavia Park District graphic designer, and Jessi Scurte, educator and designer.
At Waubonsee, Lucas & Eric presented their work in front of a panel of judges who are all professional designers, and they were selected as winners from the five participating schools! Their work stood out through the cohesiveness of the branding, the attention to detail, and their explanation of concept development. Congratulations to you both on a great job!
