Batavia Public School District 101 Announces New Principal for Louise White Elementary School

Batavia Public School District 101 (BPS101) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Wall as the new Principal of Louise White Elementary School, effective July 1, 2024. This appointment comes following Dr. Skomer’s retirement announcement. Dr. Skomer has worked at BPS101 for 26 years. He was the principal of both the old and new Grace McWayne Elementary School and became the principal of Louise White Elementary School 13 years ago.

Mike has been in education for 14 years, serving in various roles: classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and for the last 5 years, principal of an elementary school in Mt. Prospect.

“Mike is a great fit for Louise White School for various reasons. He is invested in the community, has a great reputation for being a genuine and authentic relationship builder, and is passionate about students and supporting their learning.  As I’ve said before, what is most important is that he will run through walls for students and be a great teammate,” said Tom Kim, Superintendent of Batavia Public School District 101. “He is familiar with the traditions and successful practices at Louise White School and can’t wait to get started in his new role.”

Wall expressed excitement about joining the Louise White Elementary School community, stating, “I’m eager to start my new role on July 1st and collaborate with Dr. Skomer and all members of the LWS community to learn about the incredible things happening at Louise White. My goal is to build upon our shared commitment to student success.”
